INTAKE™ 2 L Hydration Reservoir

Love this bladder, and the team at Mazama designs is exceptional. Their customer service was top notch assisting me with an older Mazama reservoir I had, and the new one should last many more years to come. Great product and great company!

I have been using Mazama for years, it is the go to!

I gave the pack 5 stars, even though there are a couple of things that don’t work for me, but at no fault to the general design.

Shape, handle, closing mechanism, connections and bite piece all work really well.

Using the pack in the ocean, the magnet goes rusty and is useless. Also for someone as short as me, the magnet system doesn’t really work, due to the proportions , but easy fix by just making your own little set up.

Price is unbeatable for a high quality pack like this.

I have years of experience with those other brands (CamelBak and Osprey), usually hacking parts from each to get all the features I wanted.

The Mazama Intake comes with all the features I love out of the box. Easy to fill, easy to clean, stop cock, flow adjustment, magnets and cover for the bite valve all included, fantastic value. And, it all works together.

I have been using the hydration reservoir for over 5 years. Recently I had a small problem. I emailed the company and within 5 days I had a replacement. This company stands apart in service and product.

The Mazama 2L intake reservoir is an excellent water bladder. I have long been using early model camelback reservoirs for most of my hiking/backpacking until they finally wore out. I was surprised at how much further the technology has come on reservoirs. I greatly appreciate the top opening on this model. Although similar models that have slide on clips to seal the opening are much easier to use than the clip on this model, which requires slipping over pegs on one side and then the other to seal the opening. It is fiddily to deal with and is hard to get right on the first try. The clip off hose (using heavy duty hardware) is also very nice. It makes getting this bladder setup in a backpack a breeze. I hope this new reservoir will last me as long as my previous camelbacks (15+ years).
