The current iteration of the AXE 3L is excellent! I highly recommend, not just because of the easy release hose, wide opening fill, strong durable parts, which are all excellent features. I highly recommend because of the company behind it.

Issues happen, products break, it is all a part of owning and running a business. What differentiates the winners from losers is how they respond to those issues. I recently encountered an issue with this product, (a known early release defect) and they not only made it right they went above and beyond. This is a product and company I am happy to recommend.

My bladder latches snapped,like many others. I wrote to Mazama customer service ;

they responded very quickly, letting me know replacement latches were on the way. Just three days later I received the new latches as well as a whole new bladder. All I can say is WOW!

This is a favorite bladder out of several we use. I like the quick open mouth design with locking latches. I like the quick disconnect on the straw tube. 3L is a plus with a spine for supporting.

So what makes this product 5 star for me? Customer service, support and the backing of their product above and beyond.
